1.000 Paper Cranes

The Japanese myth about the One Thousand Paper Cranes vary. One myth was exactly what I used in this story... that when you fold one thousand paper cranes, the gods would grant your wish. Another myth states that when you fold one thousand paper cranes, you will have a longer and healthier life because it was believed that these beautiful white birds live for a thousand years. One of the person that I look highly beside my parents and my teacher was also a girl named Sasaki Sadako. A girl that shows what the meaning of a never give up attitude and the one who also can bring peace to the world... 10 years after the bombing, she became sick with leukemia. When she was in the hospital, she decided to try on the myth, ask the gods to grant her a longer life, and started to make paper cranes. She never made it. She made it to 644 though, she kept on making them even though she got weaker. She never lost hope. She held on until the very last moment... I think that's very special.
maybe some people would thought this way:
Funny, how one dream could be folded into a thousand paper cranes.
Funny, how one person could change in a matter of a few words.
Funny, how one life could be saved, in retribution for one life taken.
Funny, how one tear could be shed for someone whom you thought you did not care about.
But, that kind of thought never passes in my brain...
But what I'm amaze of is because of her never give up attitude to reach her dream
and yet... vanish.
Like the dream. Like the person. Like the life.
But never like the tear- for it will be falling again and again.

P.S. :  Actually I had time to cry on when I heard about that story. It's pretty sad and painful to I guess when I have that kind of disease and have to end up with death. So never give up on anything! We only given a chance to live for once.
